For casual recreational and commuter cyclists.
Participate in CPEI-sanctioned recreational events at discounted member rates.
Access to optional sport accident insurance policy for $35 covering all cycling activities for training or recreational purposes, or $115 for coverage anytime you’re on a bike.
Access to Bicycle Insurance against theft and damage at preferential member rates

Ability to join Cycling Clubs or participate in weekly Club Rides (requires Recreational Membership or higher).

Enhanced sport accident insurance up to $50,000 and general liability insurance up to $10 million while participating in CPEI-sanctioned races and other events or programs.

UCI COMPETE Membership
$60 U17 / $90 17+

For athletes participating in UCI-sanctioned (national/international level) competitions.
Includes all the benefits of the PEI RIDE and COMPETE Memberships, PLUS:
UCI License granting the ability to enter races in other provinces and countries, as well as in PEI.
Optional $25 insurance add-on to extend accident and liability coverage to anytime you’re on a bike for training or recreational purposes, or $105 for coverage anytime you’re on a bike (see below for more information).

Insurance included in RIDE, RACE and UCI Memberships
All Cycling PEI memberships (with the exception of Cycling for All memberships) come with automatic enrollment in the nationwide collective insurance plan to which Cycling PEI belongs. Benefits include:
Third-party liability insurance up to $10 million ($5 million for RIDE memberships) during your participation in CPEI-sanctioned activities (events, races, club and team rides, and CPEI-sanctioned programs). This means that if, for example, you are at fault in an accidental crash with another cyclist, you are protected in the event of a lawsuit. This insurance, which carries a $1000 deductible, also protects ride leaders, event organizers and volunteers who may be named in a lawsuit. Click here for more detailed coverage information.
Sport Accident Insurance that has your back in case you experience an injury while participating in a CPEI-sanctioned activity. This includes up to $50,000 ($10,000 for RIDE Memberships) in coverage for costs not covered by the provincial health system, as well as payments in the event of death or dismemberment. Optional add-ons to extend your protection
ALL members (including Cycling for All members) have the option of purchasing additional Insurance that extends sports accident or bicycle theft/damage coverage to individual, non-sanctioned cycling activities.
The Training Insurance add-on ($25-$35) extends the same Sport Accident coverage described above to anytime you are riding a bike for purely recreational or training purposes (not for commuting or getting from point A to point B) - more details here. You will have the option to purchase this insurance at the same time as you purchase your membership. If you have already purchased your membership, click here to purchase this insurance separately.
The 24-hour Bike Accident coverage ($105-$115) extends the Sport Accident coverage described above to anytime you are riding a bike, for any reason - more details here..
